Clint Page, President and CEO of Dotster, Inc., has devoted his career to finding ways to help businesses succeed. His focus on clients is reflected in Dotster's core strategy: to provide its customers with the services and support they need to compete effectively in today's marketplace.
A graduate of Montana State University (BS) and the University of Portland (MBA), Page got his start in business in the telecommunications industry in the wake of the AT&T breakup. His job: Help business clients identify the telecommunications services they needed and could afford. It was a lesson that would guide him the rest of his career.
Page, who grew up in Clark County in Southwest Washington State, made strong contributions to the region with his next career move: economic development specialist for a public/private partnership based in Clark County. His team's commitment to attract new businesses to the region yielded impressive results. Major corporations chose Clark County for relocation or expansion, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of jobs to the region. Once primarily a bedroom community for neighboring Portland, OR, Clark County has became a strong economic hub.
Through his work, Page gained a new level of understanding about what it takes for a company to gain the competitive edge. Soon, he would put that knowledge into practice. In 2000, an internet domain registrar startup asked him to take the reins of the company.
In his decade of leadership at Dotster, Page and the team he assembled have grown Dotster into one of the top 10 domain registrars in the industry. The company has registered millions of domain names, with a special focus on small to mid-sized businesses. The services it provides its customers are designed to reflect Dotster's core values: quality, integrity, ease of use, security.
Today, Page and his family reside in Southwest Washington, near where he grew up, went to high school, learned to camp and fish—and mastered the art of helping to make others successful. The values that he grew up with—a sense of community, commitment to quality, loyalty and integrity—are the same qualities one finds at Dotster.
