.TEL Domains

Sunrise Registration - NOW CLOSED. This Period has ended.

The Sunrise Registration period has now ended. For more information regarding applications submitted during this period, please review the Sunrise FAQs.

The Sunrise Registration period allows trademark holders to protect their intellectual property by registering a .TEL domain specific to their trademark before registration opens to a wider audience.

Several qualifications must be met to register a .TEL domain during the Sunrise Registration period:

  • To be eligible for Sunrise registration, your trademark must have an application date prior to May 30, 2008 and a registration date prior to the date the Sunrise application is submitted to the .TEL registry. All trademarks must have national effect.
  • When applying for your .TEL domain, you will be asked to answer several questions regarding your trademark. This information will then be validated by Deloitte, the third-party validation agent selected by the .TEL registry. Should Deloitte request further proof of your trademark ownership, you may be asked to provide documentation validating your ownership. We will notify you via email should Deloitte require further documentation.
  • Applications are considered and awarded on a world-wide, first-come first-served basis.
  • There is a $399 application fee for all submitted applications. If your application is successful, your .TEL domain will be registered for a period of 3 years.

After your Sunrise application is submitted to the .TEL registry, your credit card will be charged the $399 Sunrise application fee. No refunds will be allowed at this point.

Sunrise registrations are subject to the standard registration conditions contained in the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Sunrise Policy.
