Q: How much do my customer's get charged?

A: You can set your retail price to anything you want.

A: No. Your customer's credit card transactions are processed directly on Dotster's Instant Reseller servers.

Q: How do I make money?

A: You will receive a check each month for the difference between your wholesale price from Dotster, and the retail price you charge your customer.

Q: What information is displayed on my customer's credit card bill?

A: Your customer's credit card statement will show a charge from Universal Registration Services, a Dotster subsidiary.

Q: When do I receive my commissions?

A: Your check is mailed by the 20th day of the month following the month in which commissions of greater that $100 have accrued.

Q: Does it matter what kind of Web site I have?

A: As long as you do not promote pornography or "hate"-related material, you can have any kind of web site.

Q: If I choose to private label my site, will my customers know you are involved as the registrar?

A: It will not be readily apparent. However, per ICANN and Registry rules, Dotster's name must appear in the fine print of the end user registration agreement, and in the NSI WhoIs directory. This is true for all registrars who abide by the rules.

Q: Can I set my nameservers as the default in the registration process?

A: Absolutely. In the Instant Reseller Tools, you can define this information. If you do, your customers will find the fields for designating nameservers populated with your information.

Q: Who provides service to my customers?

A: Dotster will provide unbranded customer support by email in English, or you can provide support directly. If you provide support directly, you have all of the tools necessary to help your client change passwords, check transactions, etc. and, of course you can rely on Dotster to back you up.

Q: Do I have to be involved if customers want to change contact information on their domains?

A: No. Your customers have the ability to change this information on line and in real time without your intervention.

Q: Will I receive credit for renewals?

A: You will receive full credit for renewals year after year, as long as your registrants renew their domains through your site, and have not transferred to another registrar.
